Pastor Allen Gibson grew up in a strong Christian home. For most of his life his father was his pastor. He surrendered to the call to preach at a very young age and has often said that he has never known a time in his life when he did not have the awareness that God wanted him to preach. After graduating from a Christian high school, he went on to study for the ministry at a bible college in the midwest, where he met and married his wife, Kari. After acquiring his Bachelor's Degree in Pastoral Theology, he became an Assistant Pastor for his father in Portsmouth, Ohio. In 2010, Pastor Gibson accepted the call to pastor the Jackson Baptist Temple. Pastor and Kari have three children Matthew, Micaela, and Alanta.
